Myth, Marionette and Man
November 8 - 11, 2007
Performances and exhibit
Many Danish and international performances will be presented at the next puppetry festival in Silkeborg, related by the themes of myth, marionette and man, the pieces chosen for their experimentation and creativity.
At KunstCentret Silkeborg Bad, in cooperation with the festival, there will be an exhibition of 4 Nordic puppet artists, Joakim Zacho Weylandt (Strings) Denmark, Lisbeth Narud, Norway, Arne Högsander, Sweden and Iida Vanttaja, Finland. The exhibit is sponsored by the Nordic Cultural Fund.
Some of the highlights among the international guest performances will be the Danish premiere of 'Vampyr' with Neville Tranter of Stuffed Puppettheatre, Holland; The Fingerman of Teatro Gaia, Peru; and The Devils Dance of Cinerama from France.
We will be presenting other guests from Belgium, France, Spain, Israel, Czech Republic and Norway.
Of course we are also proud and happy to present the newest Danish performances in puppetry and object theatre.
There will be shows for adults only, as well as shows for children.
