The Flood
The Flood is a musical theatre performance based on 8 songs in the repertoire of English musician and lyricist Peter Gabriel – inspired by Gabriel’s imagery and the words of his texts and his music.
Peter Gabriel’s relationship to his surroundings, to politics, environment, globalization, alienation and love – the things which a person might reflect upon – are represented in poetic and untamed imagery. The Flood is about doom and rebirth, incorporating the themes of common humanity, globalization and love.
Press:
The Flood offers dramatic escapism in a surrealistic but recognizable universe. Though the stage is smaller than normal, the stories of life unfold on a large scale. And though the show is made of paper, The Flood leaves me with a an impression of grandeur.
