The ship boy’s tale

Decoupage by HM Queen Margrethe

”The ship boy’s tale” is about Simon who finds love in the character of little Nora, the daughter of the minister in Bodø.
Love is so important that he must kill to obtain it, but since the author is Karen Blixen, it is also about acknowledging ones destiny and how destiny is guided by mystical forces.
Her Majesty Queen Margrethe has created a series of original decoupage sets and drawn the characters for Per Brink Abrahamsen’s dramatization of Karen Blixen’s short story.
The Aarhus orchestra ”Undertow”, has created new sound images, and the voices in the performance are Merete Voldstedlund, Anders Holst, Niels Ellegaard and Lea Rønne.
