The Story of Anki

“The Story of Anki” is told with the puppet Anki and puppeteer and ventriloquist Pytte Ravn. The set is a large ‘pop-up’ book. They turn the pages from Anki’s room to the woods, to see how the woods looks in the summer or how the landscape changes in the winter when the sea is frozen and slippery. All of the children come along to the woods to pick flowers in the summer and when the cold wind blows in the winter, they put on scarves and mittens. It is all in our imagination because contact between the fast talking duckling and the audience is always present.
Pytte Ravn is Danish but lives in Sweden. She is an excellent ventriloquist, formerly working on Danish TV in the series about Anna and Lotte. In recent years she has made many very touching productions for Swedish TV in which Anki is the constant character. These performances have previously received the award for Sweden’s best TV production.
