Exhibit of HM Queen Margrethe’s costumes and set designs At Museum Silkebog

Fairy Tale Queen

There will be a special exhibit of HM Queen Margrethe’s costumes and set designs. Her Majesty has taken part in choosing the various pieces from her artistic work. Characters from tales like Thumbelina, The Tinderbox and The Nut Cracker, as well as set designs for productions at the Royal Theatre and Pantomime Theatre are included in the exhibit ‘The Fairy Tale Queen’.
The exhibit will consist of various costumes and set designs, created by the Queen throughout the years. The theme of the exhibit is the world of fantasy and visitors will be able to see some of the Queen’s visual sources of inspiration.
Her Majesty’s work table and studio have been recreated to give visitors a closer look into the artistic process.
