The Emperor’s New Clothes

Teater Svanen’s new production, “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, is Hans Christian Andersen’s wonderful story about an emperor who is fooled by two thieving tailors into believing that his clothes are made of the most
beautiful fabrics, but in reality he is wearing nothing.
A story of foolishness and small-mindedness in the emperor as well as his followers. The people are told that those who cannot see the wonderful clothes are either poor at their jobs or unbelievably stupid. And who wants to be that?

Press
Svanen presents ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ as a tale of morality, but without pointing the finger.
In other words, a smooth performance without big surprises, but with many interesting details which keep Hans Christian Andersen’s tale modern and up-to-date. An exciting show for children and adults.
